Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.
Before coming to Milford as Director of Digital Learning, Technology and Innovation, I served as the capacity of an elementary principal for five years at Memorial School in Natick and five-year previous at Hill-Roberts Elementary School in Attleboro, MA. Prior to my current principal roles, I served as a technology integration specialist launching a 1-1 middle school laptop initiative in Pittsfield, MA. Additionally, I have worked as district professional development specialist and classroom teacher. I have maintained a high standard for student achievement and personal success during my professional career. I have developed a rapport with students, families, staff and the community that lends itself to accountability and performance.
In March 2016, I earned my Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Boston College. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Massachusetts of Liberal Arts, and Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Springfield College.
Throughout my career, I have focused on what is in the best interest of students and pushing the limits to achieve excellence in important areas. I am an instructional leader constantly looking for student and school improvement while building community and continued teacher improvement. As a principal, I have had the opportunity to facilitate state and national presentations at respected professional conferences to share my experiences in building school culture, a vision of creating a school of learners utilizing 21st century instructional tools, and communication techniques to enhance instruction and parent communication.
I look forward to working collaboratively with the Milford education community and building an innovative and creative learning experience for our students.
